Studio HOTmess (Charlotte Moore + Maria Saeki) is a collaboration between two researchers /makers. They recently completed their MAs in Architecture at the Royal College of Art (2019).
Treading the borderline between art, performance and design, their practice uses site-specific research, material experimentation and community engagement to translate research into sensitive and social design outcomes that respond to the contemporary socio-bio-geophysical issues faced by humans and our natural world today. The HOT.messes are currently working with White Gold Project to develope the project Edible Hinterlands. They have been part of exhibitions at San Mei Gallery (2020), Dutch Design Week (2020), Leach 100 Raku weekend (2020), V&A (2019), People’s Kitchen Day of Design(2019) and Palermo Manifesta Biennale (2018).
